Daegon has grown so much lately and is very smart. His accomplishments include scouts and basketball. These are some of my favorite pictures of him lately. He came up with the idea of a rocket valentine box. He decorated it himself and he got a certificate for the "out of this world" valentine box. He is getting baptized in a couple of weeks and we are excited about that. He loves to read and is working toward an IPOD drawing at the Kite Festival. He reads 20-30 minutes every night. He wants to be a science teacher/scientist and a weatherman when he grows up. I am so proud of him and I look forward to seeing him grow into a young man. :)

What is normal?
Three days at work this week and finally feeling like a human being again. I was thinking last night life was just starting to get back to normal then that thought led to "What is normal?" Normal is such an abstract concept it is different for everyone. I guess for our family, we haven't had a family routine or schedule for so long, none of us know what to do with each other. While I am looking forward to the weekend, I am not really sure what to do with the kids in all that time. We want to participate in a family fun day but we all have different likes and tastes. While on our Vegas retreat, we talked about things to do with the family that will help create memories. Maybe we will start tomorrow...

The boys got the game Elefun for Christmas from Miss Katie and they love it! Cousins Dominic and Daxton came over to play and they pulled out the game. It was crazy...see the action here!

New Christmas Toy
Daegon says he got EVERYTHING he wanted for Christmas including a skateboard. Family friend Tony D'Angelo came over and showed him how to skateboard and he was SO excited and it was fun to watch his little face light up when Tony showed up with a skateboard of his own. They went out front and practiced. Of course mom couldn't resist making a movie with the new camera. So...here it is!!

Happy New Year's Eve
So, it is the end of 2009. Watching a movie with the boys at about 11:15 waiting to bring in the new year as a family. We have our Rob with us this year for the first time and we are VERY excited! We had some people over and Rob set up the Wii in the garage with heaters, a big TV and carpet. It was awesome! He also built a fire pit in the backyard for smores. Family and friends brought snacks and I made hot apple cider. We had board games and the kids were all over the place but this has by far been my best New Year's Eve EVER!! Love being with the ones I love and being able to relax.

Christmas day
We had a fun Christmas! The kids were SO excited! They couldn't sleep but were very still in their beds because they didn't want to miss Santa. They got many presents and were very happy with their mess of presents. We went to Granny and Poppa's house for lunch and got to play with the cousins. Trenton had the best time of all as he attempted to "beat-up" uncle Eric. :)
It was a good day!
