Happy New Year's Eve

So, it is the end of 2009. Watching a movie with the boys at about 11:15 waiting to bring in the new year as a family. We have our Rob with us this year for the first time and we are VERY excited! We had some people over and Rob set up the Wii in the garage with heaters, a big TV and carpet. It was awesome! He also built a fire pit in the backyard for smores. Family and friends brought snacks and I made hot apple cider. We had board games and the kids were all over the place but this has by far been my best New Year's Eve EVER!! Love being with the ones I love and being able to relax.

Christmas day

We had a fun Christmas! The kids were SO excited! They couldn't sleep but were very still in their beds because they didn't want to miss Santa. They got many presents and were very happy with their mess of presents. We went to Granny and Poppa's house for lunch and got to play with the cousins. Trenton had the best time of all as he attempted to "beat-up" uncle Eric. :)

It was a good day!

Christmas Vacation

So, we made it through school! Friday was CRAZY! The kids were like a soda bottle that had been shaken and was fizzing...just ready to erupt. It was an exhausting day! We are looking forward to our trip to Salt Lake/Ogden tomorrow morning. Lots to do to get ready, but it will be a nice trip. We are excited to see family!

Family "Togetherness"

So we decided to make gingerbread houses as a family tonight. It was an interesting experience...especially getting the house to stay together long enough to decorate. We had a great time and the kids created some masterpieces. Here they are!

Bouncing Baby Boy

We made Gingerbread houses tonight (pics to follow later) and Jayden must have had a good time because he couldn't stop bouncing in his chair. Here is a video of him in action!

More kidney issues...

So the urologist said the stone in my right kidney is 6mm and could be stuck. Gave me medicine hoping it will pass by itself (like it is alive or something). The one in my left kidney is bigger and can't pass. Lithotripsy it is. Shockwaves sent through my back to break it up. Feels like a kick in the back...very sore. Next week or the week after I will get the procedure done.
Things are good...the boys are getting big and SO independent. Jayden is a little piglet and is already in 9 month clothing and he isn't even 6 months yet. He is going to be a BIG boy.
Daegon's SEP conference showed high marks in every area, especially spelling and math. He is very smart and loves to read. His teacher praised him very highly.
Trenton is still obsessed with the car wash and Nanny Katie made him one in the bathroom out of bowls. He played with it for about 4 hours in the afternoon. CRAZY! Video of Halloween at the Stam house to follow soon!!

Kidney Stones and blah, blah, blah

Just got back from another fun-filled trip to the ER. Found out I have a 6mm kidney stone in each kidney. No wonder I have been in so much pain. Rob went with me and was not happy that they didn't find it last time (3 weeks ago) and is ready to sue for the lack of a diagnosis. It is frustrating to not be able to get straight answers and we would appreciate any advice about helping healthy kidneys. :)

Learning something new

I haven't had time to update lately because things have been so hectic but I have a lot to share. I took tons of videos of our house Halloween night and needed to learn the imovie program to learn some editing techniques. The first one I did turned out so funny we decided to post it here. We had a lot of fun playing with photobooth on the Mac. Enjoy!! More about Halloween to follow soon!

Halloween Dress Rehearsal

The boys have been SO anxious for Halloween and a visit from Grandpa and Grandma Stam prompted dress up time. They already want it to be Halloween. Here they are all dressed up. :)

Chuck E. Cheese

All we hear about from Trenton is "Let's go to Disneyland...Mickey is my friend." Since we don't have the money for that kind of trip right now, we convinced Trenton to go to his second favorite place...Chuck E. Cheese. Since we already have SO many pictures of the place, we didn't take any. Fortunately, Katie took some of Jayden for us. Here he is with Mama and Daddy...very happy boy and he seemed to have a good time even after several hours of being in the truck. :)

Funny Jayden

For some reason, Jayden LOVES his changing table. He talks and giggles every time he is changed. Rob finally caught it on video. Stay tuned to the very end for Jayden's revenge!

We went to Vegas today and took the boys to Chuck E. Cheese and met up with our sweet Katie Sankuer. We also went to Michaels and Rob bought me some more beads so I can "express my inner creativity." We rounded off the evening with the boys playing a "wild" game of Mario Party on the Wii. It was a good day!

Daegon's New Passion

Daegon recently discovered the digital camera. After saving our money, we were finally able to buy him a pretty decent camera. He decided two months ago he was going to use it to enter the Reflections contest at school. He has already taken hundreds of photos and we put together an entry for the contest. We just found out he won honorable mention for photography. Here are some of his photos. I have also included a video of Trenton at the car wash. Yay!

New Family Blog

I decided to start a blog for our family members to use. Daegon is loving his new knowledge of the computer and would like to start an internet site called "talktodaegon.com" so I thought he could do that here. We can also put our activities and photos here for family to check up on us. :)
